Here is the Navy Festival Programme of Events and Displays. They also plan to broadcast the events on FM 100,5 as the first choice and if not then on 102,5 or 103.5.

East dockyard - Simon’s Town

 

14 – 16 march 2008

10 am - 6 pm

 Entrance free

 South African navy ships and submarines as well as visiting German navy ships open to visitors and much more for all – a great day for families

 Arena events take place twice a day & include

Gun run - naval dog display - navy band - precision marching - fire fighting display.

 Tug rides – food stalls - tea garden with children’s activities - flea market 

 Various static & live displays include

Air sea rescue – lynx & oryx helicopters – live cannon firings – diving – docking & ship lift – radio control model ships – navy armament – workshops – youth sailing regatta – frigate in dry dock – dry dock badges – exhibits

 Dry dock concert :  14 mar at 6 for 8pm (free entry)


Navy choir : 15 mar in sas simonsberg cinema at 6.45 pm (free entry)

Night gunnery shoot : 15 mar from lower north at 8pm
