Penguins Are Gone
Apr 5th, 2008 by Johan
One day the penguins were here and the next day gone. Why?
Young kids, from Bay Primary, were having a fun day in Simon’s Town giving the bland bus stop a facelift. And a colourful penguin bus stop appeared. They created an unique view; their interpretation of what life can be in Simon’s Town welcoming many thousands of visitors to the famous penguin colony.
Painting is a language which cannot be replaced by another language. I don’t know what to say about what I paint, really.

Then another painter decided to replace these penguin paintings with his own language. I am sure he doesn’t know what to say about what he painted, it was quick, simple, effective and did not need a lot of inspiration.
As I have said before, “We came into this world to experience the contrast. We can now choose between what we want and what we don’t want”.
And this man choose what he wanted!
Have a look at this photo gallery and decide what you like. The last photo is nearly what the penguin bus stop looks like today. A white inspiration.
Thanks to Janine for the photos and all your involvement with the things I like.
It’s great to have you back. Thanks.
