Walking your Simon’s Town Dogs on Long Beach

Many people in Simon’s Town do a lot of hiking and most bring their dogs as well. For a quick trip with the dogs we go to Long Beach.
Although
everyone and his dog
walk on Long Beach I noticed that dogs are not allowed on Long Beach. Not even on a leash.
While walking our dogs on Long Beach I spoke to another dog walker about it. She said,
“They should rather ban people from the beach. See the mess they are making!”
It’s true. But what do we do about it? I know that most people walk with a poop bag and leave the beach as they got it. Should we not decide to open the beach or enforce the rule.
The alternative is to allow dogs before 10am and after 6pm. What do you think?
