Is Vodacom ignorant and untouchable because they make enough money therefore not caring whether Simon’s Towners battle to get cell phone reception?

I am sure some of you may not even have reception in certain areas of Simon’s Town.

Before I decided to write about Vodacom’s poor service I phoned Vodacom to try and resolve the issue. I suggest you don’t even try. I could not use my cell phone to get in touch with Vodacom because of bad reception or a dropped connection canceled my call while I patientlywaited in the queue to talk to a Vodacom rep.

After many long and frustrating calls I, eventually, used my Telkom line to phone Telkom’s 50% partner Vodacom/Vodaphone.

And all Vodacom and Telkom did was to laugh ……all the way to the bank while I paid them money to complain about the poor cell phone reception in Simon’s Town.

Why am I writing about Vodacom’s poor service? I am asking for your support in getting Vodacom to get off their chairs and upgrade our reception.

What you can do to get Vodacom to support Simon’s Town?:

By The Way: I have a 3G modem from Vodacom and if you think the Vodacom cell phone reception is bad then the 3G reception in Simon’s Town doesn’t exist. When I phoned Vodacom to complain they suggested I pay the R5000 penalty to cancel my contract before the expiry date.
