Do you agree that The Meeting Place is the best place for locals?

A burger is a burger but have you ever had a burger at The Meeting Place?

We are new to Simon’s Town that’s why we try harder to discover.

We tried a few touristy restaurants and were disappointed. Not because they are bad. They just don’t cater for the local.

Our first Sunday lunch was at Seafort and we walked out feeling like another tourist. There’s nothing wrong with the food but when we got the microwave heated malva pudding it was obvious that this is a pace for the masses.

The other night we went to Bertha’s. At R70 for a huge prawn and the cheapest red wine at R100 we realised we are at the wrong place again.

Today we decide to try a pizza but the local place was a little empty.

Elmarie said, “Let’s try The Meeting Place.”

The Meeting Place was truly open, colourful and alive with nice people. It felt right. The waitress was gracious and interested in the new arrivals. But when she walked past with a burger I knew that’s what I wanted. The tasty burger at R38 is more than a meal, it’s also well presented.

The Meeting Place smell, feel, taste and look like a place where love prevails. We’ll go back and we will become regulars.
